Let me just say this much. I would rather lose year in and year out than be tickled with the idea of winning. You don't have any idea how much it hurt, outside of Buffalo fans, to have to face the music on three straight championhip losses. When you are a passionate fan it hurts. You follow the team like crazy. You defend these players like they are your own brothers when someone from another team disses them. It is just terrible. To come so close only to be crushed. Losing in the playoffs is the worst thing to happen. And that is how it has been for with my two favorite teams in my two favorite sports, football and hockey.
New Orleans has a very good quarterback in Drew Brees. We have a quarterback that is a great leader, but has the physical skills of Charlie Weis. Flip the quarterbacks around, and the Panthers may be 10-2 or 11-1.
If we can get decent quarterback play, DeAngelo (Don't Bitch at me about the spelling) Williams could be the spark that gets this team to the playoffs.

You know what hurts more? When its your team that is finally the first to lose to that same team that lost 3 straight conf. title games.

I would rather take that than being built up every single year only to be torn down the next year. It eats at you.

It's not Jake Delhomme's fault that this "amazing" Carolina defense gave up over 400 yards total offense to a Jeff Garcia-led team...

Chris Gamble and whoever #35 is can take a defense from "amazing" to below average. Minter doesn't help.
And certainly nobody at all can even somewhat contest Buffalo. God forbid a Buffalo team can get one little break here or there...
I actually have a T-shirt from Aussie T that I got a while back. It reads:
BUFFALO
Wide Right
No Goal
Forward Lateral
Phantom Goal
SCREWED AGAIN
References:
Wide Right: Scott Norwood's Super Bowl miss No Goal: Brett Hull in the crease Forward Lateral: Music City "Miracle" Phantom Goal: This was in a playoff game against the Flyers a few years ago, when the refs credited John LeClair with a goal that actually never went in from the front, it went through the side of the net and was counted.

Well all I can say is there can not be a worst NFL franchise (excluding Detroit) than what the Saints were. I mean we have 1 playoff win in our franchise history. Give me a break, im going to gloat about this season as long as it last.
Besides stop poking at Delhomme. I didn't hear yall bashing him when he led yalls great teams the past seasons. If he was that bad then your organization should learn to draft somebody or find someone in free agents like we did. Brees isn't the only reason our team is successfull this season also sportsbuck.
There is just a chemistry flowing in NO that has never been there before. We are getting good play from McAllister, Bush, Colston, and even when we have injuries, our backups step in to make the plays. Oh and the fact that hurricane Katrina flooded Marie LaVoe away so we don't have her bad luck anymore.
I'm a Panthers fan. I, and David, can poke and make fun of Jake Delhomme all I want. The reason we didn't say this stuff about him in years past was because his leadership carried us to the playoffs. Where has his leadership been this season?

And good news out of Carolina this week. Delhomme hasn't practiced and will be replaced by Chris Weinke. Unfortunately, Deshaun Foster is better and will be starting for some reason, and Ken Lucas is still hurt so Gamble has to get playing time.
