Cub, what made Madden feel any different than 2k5 that made it "not feel like a string of exhibition games"? Please don't tell me that getting a newspaper after every game you played moved things along for you...

For those of you who appreciate the history of football...
"Imagine Rice, Unitas, Butkus, and Singletary. In their prime. On the same field. Maybe even the same team. Imagine preparing a precision squad of mercenaries—even building your own players. Imagine football action the way football is really played. Now imagine the best gridiron game coming back for more. Imagine Football Resurrected. This is All Pro Football 2K8. This summer…the legend returns."
Here's the list of historical players you can draft:

You actually think they are going to put Ickey "Shuffle" Woods at 99 overall?

Uhm, no. He would be in the other half that is not rated a 99.

How many games are we going to see scores in the 60's, 70's, even the 80's with these players? For ONE team.
This just screams of arcade-y.

I agree with bearcat... it's kind of hard to see this having realistic gameplay or whatever when you have uber weapons all over the field... seems too big-playish then having a regular game.
Of course, that is the point of the game to have all these great players, but it'll seem weird when your 3rd string quarterback comes in and lights up the defense...

you mean to say that only the offensive players are going to be good? cause that list features some of the best defensive players ever to have played the game

I think the game sounds retarded, anyone else?
It's a good idea, but not something I would spend my money on.

I think the game sounds retarded, anyone else? It's a good idea, but not something I would spend my money on. It's pretty much... Hyped gameplay/visuals + gimmick... Making a $20 NCAA game for last-gen and maybe $40 for current gen would seem like it would be much more profitable, seeing how they could have been working on this game for two or three years, but what do I know...

I doubt every single player will be rated 99 overall. They'll probably make all the ratings relative.

So anybody wants Ken Stabler? Well, it looks good at least. Now we'll see how it plays...

Personaly... it wil be fun for a one year thing. People want something different than Madden. Therefor, this will be that something people have been waiting for. They will go out and buy it. Good for 2K.
Personaly... I wont. I will buy Madden 2008. Why? Because it has as good if not better graphics. It has current rosters as well as old. It has sideword, Franchise and almost every thing you could ask for in a game.
People can say it's a boring game with a cheesy new feature and new rosters but seriously.... How far does Madden have to go? Compare it's first game with the latest. Rediculous. It's dumb to compete with a game that has reached a point that it's difficult to get better.
We sit and we expect to see the color bubble gum a player chews and detailed conversations between GM's in the Franchise mode while a Radio plays in the background Interviewing Lamont Jordan and your scouting a QB from Missisippi State in vivid detail as you approach the Scouting Combine. Please.
All-Pro Football 2k8 will be a good release from the everyday madden game. Howeverm just a speedbump Madden will hit on it's way to probably the most successful video game in the history of any console haha
I know I know... Marios gota die before that happens

Does anyone know if any of the 240 legends will be on any of these 24 teams? So say I draft Montana but not Elway, will I play against Elway during the season?

I just came across what I think DB posted on gamespot.... seems pretty decent actually. I'm a lot more interested in it now that I've read that then I ever was before.
