Ew, 0-4 and it looks like it's over unless the Phils start to rally...
Edit: steak over... what a shame. Phils couldn't rally to get him one more shot. Only 5 hits the whole game...

Yay, now we can start focusing on the Phillies winning a game! This series was bad, bad, and bad. I'm really worried how we will respon after being pounded like we did. Our pitching could never overcome a bad inning and the hitting was there, just not when we needed it.

Our season is pretty much done if our pitchers cannot finish the third inning. Our starting pitching is the worst in the league and I'll be happy to win 75 games this year.

Abreu made his first clutch play of his career today. Game winning 3 run homer to win 6-3. In any other ball park, that wouldn't even have made it over the fence. Good ole CBP...

Yeah, you're telling me. It was a great come from behind victory, but we still suck.

We've won two in a row and our hitting has really come on. Chase Utley has four homers in 13 innings and it looks ike we are going to win three in a row. All of a sudden I am much more forgiving

We've won two in a row and our hitting has really come on. Chase Utley has four homers in 13 innings and it looks ike we are going to win three in a row. All of a sudden I am much more forgiving but we need the pitching to come along Philly's pitching is TERRIBLE now. Lieber has been improving a bit, but he hasn't gotten the runs his last couple starts. He's given up 1 run in 3 innings so far tonight, which hopefully will hold up for a bit, and maybe he can get some support. Brett Myers I feel has got some great stuff, but he doesn't always have it some nights, and I think he gets too emotional during games. Madson has been impressive for pretty much a walk-on guy to the rotatinon, Lidle has been what I expected, but Gavin Floyd has tanked recently. He needs to start getting a good string of starts together. His last one was solid, but he needs to keep going. I'm very surprised this team traded Vincete Padilla away for nothing. Although he struggled, he was their best pitcher down the stretch, and has shown great stuff. And Robinson Tejeda. I saw on Yahoo! today that he had 13 starts with the Phils. Only 2 games all year had he given up more than 2 runs, but Pat Gillick calls him inconsistent and trades him away. He's given up 2 runs in 2 innings so far, but I like what he's got, and he's determined to make Gillick look like an idiot. Nobody should fret over the offense. There were definitely consistency problems last year, but once J-Roll gets in a groove and Burrell-Abreu-Howard-Utley start getting on a mean streak, the wildcard is back in reach...

DAYUM! Bonds just jacked one a couple feet shy of the upper upper deck. That's the longest homerun I have ever seen hit at Citizens Bank Park. It doesn't matter though, we are still winning and a sweep isn't out of the question.

The Longest Home Run was by Ryan Howard early this year...it went onto Ashburn Alley

I know, 506 feet. The only thing is that the camera guy lost the ball so I didn't officially see it! This Bonds homerun was obscene.

Leave it to Jon Lieber to serve up a 2-seam meatball down the middle to the most lethal hitter.

Calling Wagner a rat is being too nice. He's an arrogant man - no wonder his teammates disliked him. Bolting to the Mets for more money was a prime example of that. He thinks he's the best, and won't accept anything less than that. You look at Tom Gordon and he's performing just as good (if not BETTER) than Wagner ever did here.
Jerk.

I have a newfound respect for Aaron Rowand now. Bases loaded, two outs in the first inning and he busts his butt back to the wall. He hops back for the catch and his face hits the metal part of the wall. He hangs on to the ball! And the first thing he did was make sure he showed the umps. I haven't seen hustle like that in a very long time. Of course, now he's got a huge gash on his face and will be defaced for life, tough titties!
