bah my AP History teacher is a Yankees fan so I've been sucking up to them lately.  I'll take the highest grade in the class over not rooting for a team you don't really like. |

Went to the game tonight and some of those Yankee fans were awful. I've never seen anything like it, I distinctly saw a Yankee fan spit on someone and there was another large group trying to start a fight with some people around me (a couple got thrown out after they dumped ice water on someone....) Another was trying to convince a 6 year old kid that all the Tigers players were on steroids (to which I turned around and gave him a hard time about Jason Giambi). I want to think that your fanbase is classier than that, but at the moment it's hard for me to have any respect for you...
Oh, and the Yankees themselves weren't great either. A ton of people were trying to get autographs before the game, but all the big names simply stared at them and left (I think Kyle Farnsworth actually waved his arm at them, gesturing for them to go away).
I sure hope they're not like that all the time....turning up their noses at everyone like they're better than them....and I know all you Yankee fans are going to say I'm exaggerating, or lying, or need to grow up and grow some backbone, but I don't care. Some of that stuff was ridiculous.

Honestly, if you think that is bad, you wouldn't be able to withstand the insults and projectiles that you see at an Ohio State-Michigan game.

Obviously.....but I've been to more than a few baseball games and I've never seen anything like that. I always thought of baseball as a....calmer....thing.
