Sorry. I'm sure you've never made an incorrect prediction. Didn't say that. You just seemed so sure of it this summer. I guess I wasn't an idiot when I said it was early in the year. You're just mad that you got swept by the Indians, and you won't be going to the playoffs. I'm so sorry. I thought this was a meant to be year. Darn.

Wow, could you be any more of a jerk about this? So you were right. No need to rub it in. It's posts like that that make people hate you so much.

Spartan, hell of a lot can happen in two weeks.
Don't count your chickens before they hatch.

A penny saved is a penny earned. *It just seemed everyone was going with something like that*
Anyway, it is impressive that they have done this but Sportsbuck is right. They can still screw up in the final weeks of the season.

I wouldn't count on it, guys...the Tigers basically have to run the table and they're the only ones with a chance to catch NY.
Any Yankee collapse would be epic, and Spartan would never hear the end of it, but I don't see it happening.

Irony This whole thread is rubbing in Yankees losses. Quit crying and get over it...

I will take all the rubbing in that I deserve if they miss the playoffs. You can torture me all you want DB. You have my word. I will put anything in my sig.
But like McGahee said, this whole thread was you bashing Yankee losses. I'm sorry things have worked out, but if this was a "Tiger hate" thread (yes I know it's a stretch) but you would be doing the same damn thing. Don't lie.
People hate me? Fine. It's a damn message board. I might as well go cry in a corner since so many people hate me.

If it was a Tiger hate thread, I'd stay the hell out of it cause reading it would bring me unnecessary annoyances.
Anyways, I knew you were going to respond with something like this, and I regret to inform you I have no further response. Have fun.

Anyways, I knew you were going to respond with something like this, and I regret to inform you I have no further response. Have fun. Obviously if Spartan had created a Tiger's hate thread at the beginning of the season and these two teams had switched roles, in that Detroit came out of the dead to take the Wild Card, there would be no doubt in my mind you'd be making the same posts Spartan has... there's no shame in that at all. Obviously if someone is bashing your team at a slightly exaggerated extent, and then your team ends up destroying theirs, you'll let them know about it. I still find the fact that you're trying to be the "bigger man" in all of this by not getting into it now so ironic, seeing how you're the one that would post about Yankee losses at 1 in the morning...

It's like me bashing Michigan every chance I get because they constantly make fun of MSU.

I was staying out of it cause I didn't have anything else to add. I may look like an idiot, but at least I;m sanding by my idiocy....I think. And I was awake, and on here, and saw the score. Didn't know there was an unwritten rule about not being able to post after 11 PM....

Obviously the point isn't that you happened to be on past 11, it's that this thread has been incessant with posts like that (obviously fine seeing how it's the point of the thread) and now that the Yankees are actually playing great baseball (I'm still waiting for a "but A-Rod is cold" comment) Spartan makes one post about it and how his team has turned around, and all of the sudden it's "hold the phone"...
Spartan doesn't cry when we post here (at least any more it seems) and when he does, we'll laugh and pity him for it. Just don't stoop down to that level by taking offense to it...

Whatever. I'm done with this. Something about Spartan's post rubbed me the wrong way (I was in a bad enough mood already) and I did something stupid. There? Happy now? Let's stop being rational and going back to hating the Yankees.

Well, it's past 1am, so I thought I'd post about the Yankees losing. You know, take a little burden off of DB, and then when he does come, leave and let him take all the heat.

I hate the Yankees but I actually hate the Red Sox more...their fans are just general douche bags and have an unimaginable inferiority complex towards the Yankees. Most of them are just dicks.

I'm a Red Sox fan and one of the things I hate most is that there is so many god damn Red Sox fans around. I mean, the Sox play home games practically in Tampa and Baltimore. It makes me mad when people from all over the country just decide to like the Red Sox for no reason. That might not make sense but whatever...
