I hope the Red Sox die a slow painful death simply because I hate the cocky, bandwagon, Red Sox fans. good thing I don't fall under that category....I thought our series would have gone longer...I thought Game 2 was going to go the Angels as Dice-K actually has a better ERA on the road then at Fenway If you came around here, you would see exactly what I meant. It is seriously disgusting at times how people flip flop around here. I hate it.

Posada, Rivera, Torre, Pettitte will all most likely be gone. Maybe A-Rod too.
The Yankees are going to look so different next year. For better or worse.

Could be for better who knows. I'm hoping Girardi's the man coming in if Torre is gone. The job he did in Florida was amazing with all those young kids and it wasn't an accident he was on YES quite a bit this year. He's clearly got a handle on how to manage games with the type of players we're probably gonna have next year.
I think A-Rod will be back just because he's got nowhere to go. I'm not sure I'd care either way though, he's not helping us when it matters and as great as he is in the regular season, he's just as bad in the post season. Yes I know he got some hits the last two games but they were all pretty unimportant, definitely not clutch kinda hits whereas when he had the bases loaded he did nothing. Same with Posada, only he does it all year long.

Yup. Get rid of Posada. He only had one of his best seasons. Not to metnion he's been a reliable catcher his whole career. Yup, let's just get rid of him. We definitely need to get rid of Pettite. He did absolutely nothing for our team this year.

For the Yankees, now is not the time to rely on how successful one's career has been, you need someone who can play well and do it NOW to satisfy the Boss and the fans.

I'm almost positive he didn't watch much Yankee baseball at all now. Posada's numbers are the most deceiving numbers for a season as there might ever have been. He played like crap all year but managed to squeak out a hit in most games when it meant nothing. He sucks, he calls a terrible game...clearly, and is a terrible catcher all-around. He's old too, scrap this team and let's get rebuilding. We've got a catcher in the farm right now who'll be good in a year or two.

And that's why you guys resigned Pudge?
Look. Posada is one of the leaders on this team. Why get rid of him? He hit over .330 and had 90 RBI's. I don't care whether he got his hits when he was supposed to or not. .330 is a lot of hits. 90 RBI's is a lot of runs. Posada calls a bad game? Have you seen our damn rotation? How many World Series games has he called? A lot.
Why get rid of him? He was one of the most consistent people in the lineup.

And that's why you guys resigned Pudge? There you go again, bringing up my team...our situation =/= yours, for Christ's sake. We picked up Pudge's option cause we don't have a replacement and there's nobody on the market. There's nobody better out there right now.

And Pudge is more of a leader in the Tigers clubhouse than Posada is in the Yankees clubhouse. Production-wise, they're about even, but I think Pudge calls a better game, is a bigger competitor and is a better leader.

He had a hot start and was able to hold on through the season. He's a terrible catcher and is anything but clutch. Instead of blocking balls, he bounces up with them and that's why a lot go through his legs or off his foot and passed him. He has no arm whatsoever when players steal on him and he just doesn't call a good game. Yeah, look at our pitchers. Look at the powerhouses we had and they still pitched average because of him. He's not a good catcher.

Probably the 2 best catchers in your division.

And the Yankees had Navarro but traded him away with some more good youngsters for Randy Johnson. That worked out great...
