This is a tricky situation. If Boston wins, it shows that you can pay outrageous amounts to get any player on the market and win, which hurts baseball overall. If Cleveland wins, it brings a World Series with two less popular teams, which hurts baseball overall. Sabathia is the highest paid Indians' player at 8.75 million/year Manny is the highest paid Sox player at 17 million/year

Ratings'll be down again this year, especially if Boston rolls. If Boston makes it, this will easily be the highest rated World Series since Boston's last championship... while the Sox are really a love/hate team, at least they have some sort of stir to them. Houston, the other Chicago team, St. Louis, and Detroit didn't have any of that. There aren't many fans of those teams out of their own markets, and they didn't have Rally Monkey fever or anything that the nation could catch on to. People watch the Red Sox, and that alone makes it more intriguing than any other match-up we've had to watch...

Boston = good at epic comebacks... Cleveland = good at epic collapses.
Also, I'd like to LOL at the confidence yankeehtr, the Red Sox fan, has in his team, making the Cleveland vs. Colorado World Series sig when Boston was down 3-1.

seems to confirm his point...
Although it isnt true at all. You see a lot of teams with huge payrolls that go nowhere, and teams towards the bottom that make the World Series. I did my senior exit paper on that.

Looks like coming home isn't being much help for the Rockies...not even the tacos can save this World Series.
