There you go again, bringing up my team...our situation =/= yours, for Christ's sake. We picked up Pudge's option cause we don't have a replacement and there's nobody on the market. There's nobody better out there right now. The guy from the Royals is good, and so is Victor Martinez. Probably the 2 best catchers in your division. I'm a Royals fan, but I'd take Pudge over John Buck in a heartbeat. About the only thing Buck has going for him is that he's younger, and is bound to get even better. Buck has some power, and he's decent behind the plate, but he's no Pudge. He's the third-best behind Pudge and Martinez. I might actually stick Mauer ahead of Buck, but he had a down year. The AL Central has some good catching talent.

And the Yankees had Navarro but traded him away with some more good youngsters for Randy Johnson. That worked out great... Navarro's bat sucks though. I'm just excited to see that Cervelli guy in a couple years. He's supposed to be pretty good.

Loki, if we would have won this series and Posada still sucked, I guarantee you wouldn't be saying this. Your pissed off. I know. How do you think I feel about MSU football.
Trading Posada is not the answer. Especially not now.

Trading Posada is not the answer. Especially not now. As much as that might seem right, it's not. I've felt this way for a couple years now, so it's nothing drawn on by this season suckness in the playoffs. I just never said anything about it because I knew he was still on for at least a couple more years. His contracts up now, so he can be my guest and leave with A-Rod.

John Buck isn't worth anything until he stops hitting .220. I don't care that he led the team in HRs (actually I'm not sure if he did, but for the first 120 games or so he was)...

I love how this thread turned into a discussion about the playoffs to an argument over the benfits of having Jorge Posada as your catcher.

an unexpected 10-3 victory by Boston...Manny and Ortiz had great games respectively...Gagne scared me in the ninth, but got out unscathed..tomorrow should be good

Not to be a dick, but I'm almost positive everyone stopped caring once the Yankees, Cubs, and Phillies fell out.

If the Red Sox weren't in it I'd be rooting for the Rockies right now. They're a fun team to watch and they're on fire...

And Eric Gagne's free-fall from "Greatest Closer Ever" to "Please Put Him Out of His Misery" has been completed. Ugly performance from him tonight and a huge win for the Tribe. Starting pitching wasn't great on either end, but both bullpen's were rather solid..well at least until after Papelbon. Hopefully we can blow up the Dice-man on monday.

Cleveland vs. Colorado in the World Series, unless Boston conjures up the magic of 2004 soon...yeesh. Who the heck's gonna watch this World Series?

I'll be watching the Series. If Boston gets in, I'm not sure I will.
Both the Indians and Rockies have good young, exciting players. The Yanks and Sox are well, old and boring. Plus, what a story it would be if the Rockies went on to win the entire thing, especially in a sweep. It would mean that they won 25 of their last 26 games if that happened.
That's just an incredible run, folks.
