Peters is a goon. Murray is a moron for not realizing what ruff was up to and putting out his tough guys. Oh wait thats right Spezza, Heatley, and Comrie are more or less the Sens' toughest guys outside Neil.
But anyway the reason I say Peters is a goon is because he went over and fought a goalie. Now I love to see a goalie fight every once and a while but only when its 2 goalies fighting (or if it's Roy getting destroyed by Shanny/McCarty). What Peters did was unacceptable in my eyes, he fight a guy who, because of the amount of equipment he wears, was pretty much defenseless. Peters is just a big goon and is the reason why I really dont like watching hockey anymore cause waste of roster space players like him are taking the place of more talented players.

Drury needs to learn how to wear his helmet right... He was wearing it fine from what I saw. You can only wear a helmet so tight. The angle of the hit knocked it loose. I know there are some hockey players on here and I am sure they can relate. I know I wear my helmet just enough so it doesn't shake around on my head. It could easily come off with the right shot. Even if his helmet did stay on, he was still going to end up with the concussion. In that case, Sportscenter....more specifically Barry Melrose...lied. |

Helmet not on tight enough? That's bogus right there. It was a freakin direct shot to his head.
Yeah Peters is a goon, but give credit to Emery... he understood the hilariousness of the whole situation and he played along.
And yeah you have to be stupid to see a line of Adam Mair and Andrew Peters right after Drury gets killed and not expect it.
Some people say that Ottawa's only hated because they win, and that's trash. They don't win anything meaningful and their team lacks any form of conduct. That's why we hate their ass..

1.) Andrew Peters fighting Ray Emery isn't that bad.. no one remember when Emery jumped Josh Gratton and fought him in the AHL so Emery has a reputation of fighting players that aren't goalies...
2.) The hit was cheap... Neil just a scrub anyways
3.) Drury was wearing his helmet just fine I don't see a problem with his helmet..
4.) Marc Savard is a little b*tch

Emery does have a history of going after everyone. I remember when he was in the minors and was suspended for his 'stick swinging attack' against Michel Ouellet of the Wilkes-Barre Penguins.

DB, if Barry Melrose is your source for hockey info, you might as well stop following the sport. Melrose is compitent, but there are far more knowledigble guys on the sport out there.

Chris McGratton will be playing tonight for the Sens as an enforcer...
While there's no guarantee that the brawls will occur again, there will be some huge hits in this game. I'm hoping Campbell can deliver something in open ice...

Philadelphia Flyers just added some youth to thier defense core while trading Alexei Zhitnik to Atlanta for Braydon Coburn...
That was a horrible deal for Atlanta... why trade a 8th overall pick for a washed up old scrub like Zhitnik....

They're desperate to stay in the playoffs. They've been crashing and burning as of late, so I guess it was their best option for their under-achieving defense. I still don't think this move will keep them in it though...

It already happened...
Tkachuk to Atlanta for... Glen Metropolit, 1st RD pick, 3rd Rd pick, and 2nd in 08.
and if Tkachuk signs with Atlanta after this season St. Louis gets the thrashers 1st in 08 also.
