Well the NHL kicked off today in England. Kings came out and scored three power play goals to beat the Ducks. So yes, I guess it is officially here. Rock out!

About damn time. Although the new jersey experiment this season is just AWFUL. You got that right man. Maybe they will grow on me. All I know is the Flyers played in the pre-season and apparently Mike Richards laid out Jagr than fought Chris Drury. Sadly I didn't see the game but I hope this stuff keeps coming in the regular season.

All I know of Philly this pre-season is that Downie is done for 20 games.

All I know of Philly this pre-season is that Downie is done for 20 games. They have been fighting so I am happy. The Downie suspension I can understand. It just seems like the NHL hasn't been consistent in the stuff. Downie though, stupid hit. I liked it, but looking at it now, very very stupid to do in the pre-season.

Actually just saw the hit. I can't believe he thought it was clean. Firstly, it was late. Secondly, it was a blind-side hit and thirdly he freakin' launched himself like he was throwing a wrestling shoulder block.

The REAL regular season starts tonight.... can't wait. Thank god DirecTV activated VS-HD last week in time for the Avs-Stars game.
I just planned my trip to Denver in December to go see my first game there... can't wait.

I'm hoping Detroit and Anaheim ends in a draw because all the players simultaneously die of the bird flu, seeing how those are probably my two least favorite West teams right now...

I need some damn time to watch hockey. But with a full-time job and the playoffs starting for the indians, I'm real short on hockey-viewing time. BLAH

I'm taking full advantage of my free preview of Center Ice... seeing how rarely hockey is ever on TV, I'm just DVR'ing most of the games they're showing, and then just watching a couple on nights where nothing's on...
Paul Stastny looked NASTY last night. While everybody was on Malkin's dick for the Calder, I still liked this guy as the better prospect, but I had a bit of skepticism for this season. But obviously, that wasn't the case...

It is so nice to have the Flyers back. So far Briere has a goal and has been winning faceoffs quite nicely.

Stastny looked good opening night... but NO ONE showed up last night for them.... boo
The realization that they're not a top tier team sets in already :-)

Bruins open up tonight with the Stars. I have to go check if I have center ice preview right now, I should've known I probably have it.

Jason Blake was diagnosed with Leukemia, but is still going to play. Glad to hear it is not that bad.

Biron has been amazing for you guys from what I've seen. Glad to see that he's finally gotten a chance to be the uncontested #1 somewhere and he's showing why he deserved it. We (Buffalo) can't seem to stay consistent, although scoring doesn't seem to be much of a problem. I just wish we could get a little more for the $50 Million Dollar Man.

Tim Thomas has been standing on his head for the Bruins, leaving me to ask why they didn't believe in him in the first place. He's been playing very well ever since getting into the league and there was no need to go get Fernandez for such a high price this offseason, especially with the way he's played...
Anyways, Boston is 7-4 after nipping the Sabres in overtime on a real fluky goal. Bergeron's out for a while, but with the defense and goaltending they've been getting, they should be fine.

Biron is the reason the Flyers record is what it is. He has been my hero.
Also, Foppa is going to play in a Swedish hockey tournament to test where he is at. The Flyers still have tons of interest in him.
