I'm honestly pretty excited to watch the Heritage Classic on New Year's day, but I have no idea why. Probably the throwbacks. Same here. I am going to have homemade ravioli and hockey. Needless to say, I am pretty damn excited. |

BTW it's the Winter Classic this time, the gay little brother of the original ultra-manly Heritage Classic. Oh and yeah the Oilers lick ballsack this year. Here's hoping Tavares can enter the draft early.

Anyone who thinks Sidney Crosby is overrated needs to re-assess that call. He's been the best player on the ice so far and that move he made crossing the blueline was just nuts.

That was a great game. Crosby was by far the best player on the ice and is the best in the league. They said that he wasn't that good in shootouts (8-26 or something) but the best players come through when they can win the game for their team and he did that.

Me and a couple of my buddies were playing on my ice today and it was snowing probably a little less hard than it was in Buffalo and it was hard to stickhandle and shoot without the puck hopping over your stick. I wasn't surprised that this game was low scoring. |

For those DirecTv viewers out there, the NHL network is showing the WJC's this year. Watching Canada/Finland and gotta say that Tavares and Stamkos are impressive. Watch this tourney if you can.

I agree Stamkos has probably been Canada's best. Have you seen any of Doughty? Every time he touches the puck I have to hold my breath because he gives away breakaways like noon else. Is supposedly the #2 skater for this draft.
