Well losing to Auburn four times in a row is not the way to keep your job at Alabama. Probably not the best move not having a head coach in place to take the job from the get go, but I guess it's alright. Joe Kines is going to be interim head coach until we hire someone.
My Short List of names:
Shiano (spelling?) from Rutgers Johnson from Navy Jimbo Fisher from LSU Grobe from Wake Forest Leavitt from South Florida Petrino from Louisville (not likely) Rodriguez from West Virginia (not likely) Spurrier from South Carolina (almost no chance) Saban from the Dolphins (laughable that anyone thinks that)
I'll edit in more later. Also, if anyone else is having a coaching search, chime in here.

Well losing to Auburn four times in a row is not the way to keep your job at Alabama. And somehow Lloyd Carr is safe at Michigan...

Shula's firing has given me an inspiration for my next dynasty. I hope that I follow through on it, because it has great potential.

ISU blew that one.....Kelly > Chizik.
I don't really see the Rutgers coach leaving.

ISU blew that one.....Kelly > Chizik. I don't really see the Rutgers coach leaving. I do, but more likely to Miami. That or he'll hold out until Joe Pa calls it quits and take that job when it's offered. For me, it's either Paul Johnson at Navy or Jim Grobe at Wake for the job.

I'm surprised Bo Peleini's name hasn't surfaced.
I probably butchered the spelling, but most of you know who I am talking about.

He went from D2 to Central Michigan, and turned them into a very good team.

RIght now the two hot names are Steve Spurrier and Rich Rodriquez. I'm not sure we get either, but both I would be happy here.
Also, news out of Bama seems to be that Shula got canned because he was unwilling to make personel changes. From everything I've seen, Mal Moore would have kepted him if he would have just hired a new O-Line coach and a OC to call the plays.

Well bama...
Hot news on the radio down here is that Alabama is pursuing Patrino or however you spell his name. They say he would be a great fit for the program and I actually hope they get him.
I think it was retarted to fire Shula because I know he can do things with the program (Look at last season). I know he lost to Auburn 4 times in a row but I think 3 out of those 4 seasons, they actually had the better team.
And get this bama. Another name they threw in that could be a possibility is get this; former offensive linemen Mike Tyce. Also former head coach of the Minnesota Vikings.
As for Saban. The guy turned down dinner with the president to coach training camp. I don't think he makes his return to college football just yet.

Here's the problem, no one has a clue but Whitt and Moore and (I hate using it twice in this close of a row) the BOT. I'm leaning towards us getting a name that hasn't come out yet, or at least isn't being talked about. A long shot idea is Jeff Tedford from Cal-Berkley.
I hate coaching searches.

Another name that was a long shot but a possibility was that I forget his name right now, but Arkansas's head coach was a name that has come up.
It's really no sense in throwing out names right now because I have seen newspapers saying that Alabama is pursuing Jon Gruden so right now I think it's all BS.
Im just so anxious about who we hire, that it's driving me crazy. I think the guy from Wake might not be a bad idea. I mean look what he has done with that team this season...
