If Rodriguez gets hired, it's going to a very tough first year. Michigan doesn't have anyone remotely close to Pat White or Steve Slaton. I like how Michigan has just been raiding West Virginia. Like he would run the exact same offense without the right pieces. He'd put his offense in place over time. It'll probably look more like something Spurrier would run at UF with a lot more running the ball with the tailbacks. I think this would be a good hire for UM, and it keeps Miles at LSU to mess everything up.

It'd still be a very tough first year, regardless. Especially if Ryan Mallet does leave, not to mention that they are losing both safeties and a corner from the worst secondary in the nation (And it can only get worse).

lmao if you think he'd run the same offense. Back in 2001 in Tulane he had Shaun King. Yeah yeah yeah he's more mobile to Mallett, but he had a spread passing attack, Texas Tech style. They went 12-0 I believe and King passed for around 3,000+ yards.

Also at this moment he's leaning towards staying at West Virginia, but all the fans are like f' you now, especially considering he lost the chance to go to the NC when he lost to a 4-8 team.

This is almost comical at how everybody is turning down Michigan.
A reliable but unnamed source is confirming that RichRod is staying at WVU.

If there's anything we should have learned from this coaching search, no source can be labeled "reliable." But, it seems you're right. Who's next in line? Matt Millen?

Yeah, David, it was '98. That was the year the modern spread offense was born.

Something very comical here, Nick Saban's agent contacted WVU about the job opening.

Something very comical here, Nick Saban's agent contacted WVU about the job opening. Do you know who Saban's agent is? The answer is Jimmy Sexton. Do you have any idea how many coaches he represents? Dude, he represents Terry Bowden and Al Borges who are two candidates for that job. If you have something that isn't from a random blog, post it to prove that Sexton called WVU about Saban. If not, don't bother posting baseless rumors. Have a terrific day!

It's been verified by the staff at West Virginia's Rivals site. (Still room for error, and I wouldn't doubt that he's not contacting about Saban, but still very funny if it turns out to be true)

Looks like the 3-3-5 is on it's way to Michigan, because there's a rumor floating around that Ron English is headed to Georgia Tech to be the DC there.
David, I wouldn't get too excited. English is extremely overrated, and is still riding on the coattails of the 06 Michigan defense pre-Troy Smith.

I think I heard on ESPN that Terry Bowden contacted West Virginia about the HC job...is that true? I wake up at 3:30 and heard it then so it was very early...might have been dreaming.

DickRod fired all of Michigan's assistant coaches..
And let the free for all for Michigan's recruits begin. I'd say Cissiko, McGuffie, Wilson, and many others may be headed elsewhere.

I wonder why Charlie Strong at Florida hasn't gotten any looks.. Because he isn't that great of a coach? I'm going to be in the minority on this one, but I haven't been that impressed with Strong. He got his name out there thanks to that amazing amount of talent on UF's 2006 defense. Even Bo Pelini could have made that defense look good. (That's for Jeff) Just my opinion.
