Playoffs are ours. We're 2 back of the Rangers for 8th with 3 games in hand. I'm not worried. Hopefully we can move up to 7 and draw the Flyers, a team we've had no problem beating since the lockout. Ovechkin has been unbelievable. Every time he scores I think he's gonna injure something with his celebrations. The guy's like Gramatica after an extra point... I hope we lock up Campbell soon. I'd hate to see him get dealt or walk away in the off-season. And I think if the Caps make the playoffs, Ovechkin gets the Hart. |

I'm waiting for the NHL to institute the rule where if a division winner doesn't have a Top 8 point total, they shouldn't be allowed in the playoffs. The Canes would be tied for 8th if they weren't seeded based off of leading the division...

That was honestly the scariest game I've seen in my life. Thank god that Zednik is stable and in the hospital. Not as bad as Malarchuk, but it was no joke as evidence by the trail of blood from the corner all the way to the bench. Hope he ends up ok.

Vanek has returned! Scores 2 with 2 minutes left in the game to tie it, then scores 2 minutes into OT for the hat trick. If we win tonight and Boston and Philly both don't win, we become the 6 seed, which would mean we'd play the winner of the sucky Southeast Division. We've got 2nd round written all over us, which is huge seeing how bad we started the year...

It's good to see him rolling along. He seems like a good kid who just lucked into that huge deal. You could see him trying, but I'm glad it's finally coming back to him.

Screw you Edmonton. You assholes nearly made me kill myself this summer. If dealing with losing Drury, Briere, and Zubrus wasn't enough, you bitches nearly made us move up 4th liners to line 2. Well actually I think we did move Gaustad or Hecht and definitely Paille. But even with Vanek's early struggles we'd be nowhere near the playoff hunt if a certain Canadian GM didn't shit on the system. It'd be one thing if you did this to a team like the Flyers or Senators, but why to the team so freakin desperate to hold onto a player haha...
Currently the 7th seed thanks to the Flyers becoming the worst team in the NHL all of a sudden. Tied with Boston who's in that coveted 6th spot...

like I said your welcome. Honestly I kinda glad you guys did match cause Vanek is not worth that much money. Although he is much better than Penner. God that douche bag is brutal. yeah speaking of the oilers my sister's boyfriend is best friends with Kyle Brodziak who plays on the oil.
